My Role as Officiant

A wedding is one of the most important days in the life of any couple, family or community of friends, and the privilege of officiating at weddings is one of the great blessings of my profession. I will work with you towards creating whatever you want for your special day: from traditional to contemporary, standard or unique I will strive to meet your needs!

My Experience

Since my ordination as a United Methodist pastor in 1984, I have had the privilege of performing over 400 weddings. Officiating at a wedding is one of the great joys of my life.

I have performed weddings in churches, at private homes, restaurants, museums, outside on the beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, in the autumn foliage of New England, on tops of mountains and of all places in the parking lot of a McDonalds restaurant.

I encourage couples to personalize their wedding by selecting special readings, music and vows that will make your wedding meaningful and exceptional. I perform ecumenical, non-religious, interfaith and faith-based services.

I welcome the opportunity to meet any couple looking for someone to officiate at their special ceremony.
